AEGIS SCRIBE 1.2 beta — install on Windows
Free during the open beta. This open beta expires on April 20, 2027. After that you can still unlock, view and export your notes, but creating or editing notes requires the full version.
Intellectual property of Tatiana Green and James Murphy.

1. Unzip this file to a folder on this PC (for example Documents\Aegis Scribe).
2. Double-click “Aegis Scribe.exe”.
3. If Windows SmartScreen says it is an unrecognized app, choose More info, then Run anyway.
4. A legal notice appears each time the window opens. Choose I Understand.
5. Choose a passphrase to create your encrypted vault. There is no recovery if you forget it,
unless you also create the optional recovery key.
6. Choose your EHR, compose, then click Send to <EHR>. Click the first note field in the chart
(not date or duration). Aegis pastes when you leave this window. Split forms receive each
section and Tab to the next box.

Aegis locks after 5 minutes of inactivity (change it in Settings), when minimized, when Windows
sleeps or the session locks, and with Ctrl+L.

This is a native 64-bit Windows app for Windows 10 and 11. It uses the Microsoft Edge WebView
that already ships with those systems — not a browser tab, and not an HTML Application.

If the window cannot open and asks for the WebView2 Runtime, install the Microsoft Edge WebView2
Runtime from Microsoft, then open Aegis Scribe again.
